Sakina in Milan

MGE3 Digital Marketing student at ESC Clermont, France

My most excting vacation was when I travelled 3 days to Milan, I took the bus from Clermont-Ferrand, the cheapest option for a student and had a nearly 12hours ride to Milan, Italy.

I booked (actually at the very last moment) a room in a small hotel not very far from the city center through Booking.com application, but I had to take the subway every time I wanted to go sightseeing; ( a 10 mins ride)

I can’t describe how much I enjoyed Milan, I was eager to discover the most fashionable city of Europe and actually I even had a saved some money to go shopping. The first thing I visited was the Duomo, with the fascinating cathedral and the crowded square where tourists enjoy taking pictures. What also was very interesting for a shopping addict like me is the numerous stores, the very known brands and the famous luxury boutiques that blew my mind, but of course nothing was affordable for a student like me, yet it was an enjoyable window shopping :D

I also went to the Sforzesco Castle where I spent the whole day. It was so big and very instructive. I did a big tour visiting every room of it where they had an art exposition. Prehistory, The middle ages time, the modern history, a collection of musical instruments, and believe me the list is still long.. It was such a cultural moment.

I can not talk about Milan without mentioning the food, even if I am not a big fan of Italian food I picked some well reputed restaurants to taste Italian pizza, Lasagna and of course what’s Milan without “gelato”, or ice cream. There is even a Starbucks Reserve Roastery that I highly recommend for the coffee lovers.

I will definitely go back to Milan but also I would like to visit other places and have memorable experience.
