Hello everyone, Myself Rakesh i come from a city called Bengaluru in India.

Back in india there is saying" To gain knowledge and know different culture either travel around the globe or read books regarding them" i am not much of book person so i preferred travelling as my source gain experience . Studying in Europe is one of the greatest opportunity one can get, as a travel lover i made most use of my schengen visa where i travelled to few countries in EU : Germany, Amsterdam, Portugal and few regions in France as well.

My recent travel was to Lisbon the capital of Portugal.Lisbon is ranked as one of most touristic place of Europe. Over there Language was not much a issue for me as most of the people speak English because of its international visitors and if you know Portuguese, French and Spanish its still well and good to easily mingle with the local crowd. Transportation is very well planned and easily accessible as you have Bus, Tram, ferry, train plans where you can travel within the city as well as to neighbouring cities too. The daily expenses are less compared to other countries this will help you to try out various restaurent and local bars. My stay over there was with a family whom i contacted through Facebook, they were very w

arm and humble people which made me feel like home. And coming to places in lisbon i visited Castelo de S. Jorge, Praça do Comércio, Sanctuary of Christ the King, Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara, Telecabine Lisbon - North Station, Pink Street, i suggest everyone to take Tram24 as it covers half the city while enjoying the tram ride through narrow streets . I couldn't visit many other places as i was constrained with time. But even just walking in a normal street it would make you feel amazed as most of the streets are filled with artistic graphite. I also had some wonderful time with other international erasmus students whom i met them in a local bar ,i eventually made some new friends and network. Over all my experiences was amazing and i am sure ill visit Lisbon again and ask you guys also to add it on your travel list.
